Because of COVID – 19 NBA session could finish whiteout fans
The COVID-19 pandemic is still here, but the NBA starts to make some small steps towards a return to normalcy. Some of the training facilities of the teams opened again, while testing of players should begin soon. While we wait for the league to start over again to give you some NBA free picks, here is the news.
The NBA commissioner Adam Silver participated in a teleconference with members of the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association), and he gave some exciting news to the players. According to a person familiar with the conversation, Silver promised the players that most likely, we will still see the traditional best-of-seven playoffs in the NBA if the season resumes, of course. The Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar LeBron James stated that he wouldn’t play without fans, but according to Adam Silver, finishing the campaign without any fans on the stands is a very realistic opportunity at the moment.
Adam Silver and the players discussed the idea for the season to finish at a centralized location, but he stated this: no decisions would be made until a few more weeks.
At Cleveland and Portland, they already admitted players to return to practice, if they want. Cavaliers’ forward Cedi Osman already posted on Twitter a picture of the training facility in Cleveland, adding: “Great to be back!”
At the same time, the Orlando Magic confirmed that they can now start testing their players and staff for COVID-19. Most likely, the LA Lakers and LA Clippers would be the next in line to do the same and begin the testing procedures. The Lakers already did some testing a few weeks ago, and two of their players tested positive.
We really miss the NBA and the chance to be offering you some NBA free picks, but we’re now convinced that action will resume soon. The teams are now starting to prepare, and this is the most important thing.
