Confirmed: Engine failure NOT the reason for Kobe Bryant helicopter crash

The former Los Angeles Lakers star and his 13-years old daughter were killed when their helicopter crashed in Los Angeles. It’s now believed that the fog around LA is the main reason for the crash. The pilot Ara Zobayan have decided himself to fly in such conditions. It’s believed that he lost orientation of the wherebouts of the machine because of the fog.

Because of the fact that the helicopter didn’t have a black box, some important details about the crash can’t be revelaed to the investigators.

It’s being reported that Ara Zobayan has been an experienced pilot with more than 8000 flying hours in his resume. He has been trained to fly in poor weather conditions, but sadly he was not able to avoid crashing that day.

On February 24 a public memorial for Kobe Bryant and the other victims is going to be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. On the same day the Los Angeles Clippers will face the Memphis Grizzlies at the same arena. It’s expected to see some tributes to Bryant during the NBA All Star game next weekend. Some of the biggest names in the history of the game already paid their respect to the LA Lakers legend.
