Jay Gruden is going to be the Jaguars’ next OC

The Jacksonville Jaguars are appointing a new offensive coordinator for the next season in the NFL. We understand this is going be the Washington Redskins’ former head coach Jay Gruden. News were reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. While we are getting ready with some nfl pick predictions for you, here are the news.

Maybe you remember that in October Jay Gruden was fired from the Washington Redskins after spending more than five years with the team. From what we know, former New York Giants’ coach Ben McAdoo was also interviewed by the Jaguars for the position, but the job will go to Jay Gruden.

Few weeks ago Jay Gruden told the press that he wants to return to the NFL as a head coach, but it was not really possible at the moment, so now he gets back to his previous role of an offensive coordinator. Before taking the job at the Washington Redskins in 2013, Gruden was OC for the Cincinnati Bengals and helped them reach the playoffs in three consecutive years.

Now at the Jacksonville Jaguars Jay Gruden will try to do the same magic, raising the team’s performance in offense to a new level. The Jaguars’ offensive stats were not at the desired levels in the last two season, so it’s fully understandable why in Jacksonville they decided it’s time to change some things. If Jay Gruden manages to do at the Jaguars what he did with the quarterback Andy Dalton at the Redskins, then this is going to be a top notch addition for Jacksonville. Gruden is going to be the Jaguars’ third OC in three years, so let’s see if he can stay for a little bit longer.
