The White Sox agree to extent Yoan Moncada in $90 million deal

The third baseman Yoan Moncada extended his deal with the Chicago White Sox to five more deals. It’s being reported that the deal is worth $90 million, which tells us how much the White Sox are appreciating the young star. We are about to offer you some more info about this deal while we prepare more winning picks and parlays for you.

Yoan Moncada is just 24-years old, but he’s already regarded as one of the best in the league at his position. Before this deal he would have qualified for free agency in 2023. In 2019 Moncada really had a terrific breakout season when he managed to hit .315/.367/.548 (141 OPS+) with 25 home runs and 4.6 WAR. In other words, Moncada really showed the whole league why he was regarded as such a prospect in his younger days. We remind you that Chicago White Sox successfully added Yoan Moncada to their roster as a part of the Chris Sale deal with the Red Sox in 2016.

For the White Sox this winter is full of exciting deals. The club also made successful agreements with outfielder Luis Robert and reliever Aaron Bummer, also signing Yasmani Grandal, Dallas Keuchel, Edwin Encarnacion, Gio Gonzalez and Steve Cishek. It’s clear what the Red Sox current goal is – reaching the postseason for a first time since 2008.

The Chicago Red Sox are clearly trying to build a core for what’s about to happen in the next few years and so far they are doing a pretty solid job. Is this going to be enough for them to reach the postseason, though? Well, only time will tell.
